It is possible to achieve a stylish fabulous look using non toxic make-up
The big question is, can one do a natural makeup with no toxins involved whatsoever? meaning can you find all natural toxin free beauty products and look gorgeous, the answer is yes its is very possible, actually even if you like highlighters, they are now available and they are toxin free, Butter London has the best highlighters.
In this article, I am going to show you that it is possible to do a natural makeup using only natural non toxic products, so we are going to do a full face make up all natural. and it doesn’t have to be nude look either, we can go as bold as we want, because l have found brands with bold colors.
Three brands that you can trust
And also in this article I will share 3 links that will change your makeup and make it safe, if you’ve been searching for clean make up, these three brands will meet your needs. You will also find other things when you click on those links like skin care products and even toxin free nail polish.
In my opinion, we should not compromise or put our health in danger, all in the name of beauty, I actually think that the same way we are so careful about what we eat and drink, we should also put the same effort and thought into what we put on our skin.
Don’t put toxins on your skin
I mean what is the point of clean eating if you are going to replace all the toxins you eliminate from your diet with the toxins you are putting on your skin by way of makeup and skin care. if we are going to eat healthy and clean, then our skin care and beauty products should be clean too.
Before thinking about applying makeup, of course we must first make sure the skin is clean and moisturized So for face cleansing, you can check out my post where I created a nice list of natural face cleansers and they are Natural too. Please click here to see the list. After cleansing the face, now we are ready to moisturize the skin, click here to see my list of face creams.
And now we are ready to find a foundation and powder, the key to finding a nice foundation, is to make sure its light and does not clog your pores and that goes for the powder too, our friends at 100% pure Cosmetics got you covered all the way if you need a concealer, you will find it there too.
And now we find eyeliner and mascara, I can not stress enough how important it is to use safe products on your eye area, using wrong product on this area can result in eye infections, dry skin, and premature aging of the delicate skin around you eyes resulting in forming of fine lines.
So what I am saying is that we need to pay extra attention to the products we put on our eye area like eye-shadow, mascara and eyeliners, because the chances of those products ending up in our eyes are very high, there are many times, I have found bits of mascara and eyeliner in my eyes.
There is no reason why anyone should be putting their eye sight and health at risk for the sake of beauty, you can confidently look amazingly gorgeous, with no worries whatsoever. so how about mascara and eye liner that’s made of fruits? that’s right, a mascara that will not harm your eyes in any way, and a liner that’s 100% safe for your eyes.
Lipstick, is another thing that is very important, and its crucial that we make sure it is safe for us, luckily I have now found many lipsticks that are safe and are absolutely gorgeous, I have been researching and I have come up with some really cool lipsticks.
Look at this one from Butter London Rush Satin Matte Lipstick
It gives you the satin matte finish without any toxins, or maybe you would rather go with the pink one .Electric violet cream Lipstick, the options are endless, I am actually so happy to report that there are many natural non toxic lipsticks available now, see best price here
Eye shadow, and blush, of course we can find these two products too and they will be natural and safe to use on our skin, the best place I have found to shop for natural eye shadows is Au naturale, they have everything you need, bold colors and quality products.
I have given you three links and these three links are going to ensure that your make up and skincare is safe and will keep your skin healthy, plus you don’t have to constantly worry about toxins in your make up and skin care,
My conclusion, is that, when we are healthy on the inside we should also be healthy on the outside and that does not mean that we have to eliminate make up, I have spoken to many women who told me that they have decided to eliminate make up all together from their beauty routine, because they are concerned about the harsh chemicals in beauty products.
This is not necessary, there are brands out there that create beautiful beauty products that are safe, toxin-free, Cruelty-free and gluten free, plus vegan, so there is not reason for you not to use make up if you like it.
As I keep saying, l love makeup and l will not stop using it so the alternative is to find safe products that l can use for a long time without worrying about damage to my skin or risk to my health.
I hope you will find this article helpful, if so, please leave me a comment because I would really like to hear your views about beauty products and your experience.
Thank you so much for your time
Rose
Hello Rose,
thanks for this great and wonderful post on natural make-up and the positive impact on our health. It occurred too me that most people believe in more organic and artificial product than the natural sourced ones. You definitely shocked me the moment u said, “There is no reason why anyone should be putting their eye sight and health at risk for the sake of beauty” of course, we don’t have to go extra miles and damage our skins.
thanks
I see what you mean about the high end cosmetics sort of ruining the point of healthy living/appearance these days – I never really thought about the effect these cosmetic toxins have on a person’s skin…after they take so much time and care to eat the right healthy foods for skin quality.
Are these natural makeups more expensive overall, considering they are more specialised?
Rose,
I enjoyed your article. My wife and daughter are both very concerned about the products they use and are looking for natural make ups. Seems you’ve covered the basics here, with products that are safe, toxin-free, Cruelty-free and gluten free, plus vegan.
Using any products around your eyes and lips means you need to be selective, so thanks for offering up these natural solutions.
This is an excellent post and a good guide for using natural makeup versus most of what is in the market these days. It makes perfect sense to me to use non-toxic makeup, because, as you say, after cleaning up your skin, why would you want to spread poison all over it?
My wife and I have discussed this and she is of the same mind on this. It can be hard to find good natural makeup, however, so I am glad to be able to send her this post link so she can have a look at the products that you have reviewed and highlighted.
It is good to know that there are brands out there that understand concerns people like us have. They are willing to create products that are safe to use, are toxin-free,cruelty-free, and gluten-free. They even go so far as being suitable for vegans. They are listening to consumer demand.
Great post and I and my wife thank you for putting it together.
Dear Rose
Thank you very much for the information. It is so nice to have trusted products, which are natural and non-toxic so that we are going to perform face make up free of worries.
In the coming Valentines’s day, I am going to buy some make-up gifts for my wife. Among the suggestions you provided, I like the products from Au naturale, which have a lot of selections and prices are reasonable.
One question: do they have discount or on sale for the coming Valentine’s day?
Regards
Anthony
It’s funny how makeup is oftentimes overlooked as being something that contains chemicals and toxins. I just visited both the Au Naturale and the Butter websites. The prices are actually better than I expected and the lipsticks on Au Naturale have amazing reviews! I’m super excited to try these products:) Where would you recommend finding natural perfumes (that actually last)?
